Ecad.io is developed by a team of software developers and engineers who think that as ECAD and MCAD systems move to the web, so should ECAD-MCAD data conversion.
We've worked on a wide variety of engineering and software projects over the years including developing desktop-based ECAD-MCAD interchange tools. However, we feel that these existing interchange tools can be often expensive to buy, time-consuming to install, and require specialist knowledge to use.
Our aim with ecad.io is to try and make the process of translating data between Electrical and Mechanical CAD systems as easy and straightforward as possible, with a simple web-based system designed to be used by either the Electrical or Mechanical engineer, and with desktop-based or web-based CAD tools.
As part of Autodesk, we're working to integrate ecad.io as closely as we can with Autodesk's mechanical and electrical CAD tools, but don't worry if you don't use Autodesk products - we're working hard to support as many ECAD and MCAD systems as we can.
We're adding new features, content and functionality to ecad.io all the time, and rely on comments from our community of users to help drive the development of the product. We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback on ecad.io - good or bad, so please feel free to get in touch with us via our Contact Us page. Thanks!
